On Saturday, December 7th at 9 and 10:30 pm, the Carl Barlett Jr. Quintet will be in residence with trumpeter Charles Bartlett, pianist Julius Chen, bassist Steve Wood and drummer Will Terrill. Saxophonist Carl Bartlett Jr. comes out of a family of excellent musicians as is witnessed by his uncle Charles as his bandmate. Saturday, October 16, 2021, at 9 and 10:30 pm, we present Cliff Lee Plus Three featuring pianist Jordan Williams, bassist Chris Haney,  drummer Will Terrill and the leader on trumpet.

This is the debut of Cliff Lee Plus Three at Sistas’ Place! In keeping with the historic nature of our institution, we present Mr. Cliff Lee who comes from a family of artists that was represented on the 1974 Strata East recording called The Descendants of Mike and Phoebe.

Cliff Lee is the father of filmmaker Malcolm D. Lee (Best Man and Best Man Holiday) and the brother of bassist Bill Lee, who, of course, is the father of Spike Lee.
