Sistas’ Place, 456 Nostrand Avenue, at the corner of Jefferson Avenue, where Jazz: A Music of the Spirit Lives and Culture is our Weapon, is in its 24th season with the music of Resistance, Resilience, and Resurgence. On Saturday, September 28th at 9 and 10:30 pm, the very fabulous vocalist and bandleader Carla Cook will be in residency with pianist Nat Adderley Jr, bassist Beldon Bullock, and drummer Alvester Garnett.
