Sistas’ Place, 456 Nostrand Avenue, at the corner of Jefferson Avenue, where Jazz: A Music of the Spirit Lives and Culture is our Weapon, is in its 24th season with the music of Resistance, Resilience and Resurgence. On Saturday, January 11th, at 9 and 10:30 pm, we present saxophonist/ composer/ bandleader, Reggie Woods, along with trumpeter Riley Mullins, pianist Anthony Wonsey, bassist Lonnie Plaxico and drummer Russell Carter. Reggie Woods, a regular in our roster of revolving artists, has put together a band of Sistas’ Place All-Stars who individually make sparks fly and who collectively light up the night.
