Sistas’ Place, 456 Nostrand Avenue, at the corner of Jefferson and Frederick Douglass Square, where Jazz: A Music of the Spirit Lives and Culture is our Weapon, is in its 28th year with the music of Resistance, Resilience, and Resurgence. Sistas’ Place is a Historic Landmark Institution.

On Saturday, May 6th @ 9 and 10:30 pm, we continue the Central Brooklyn Jazz: A Music of the Spirit Festival at Sistas’ Place with the Robert Rutledge Band featuring saxophonist Reggie Woods, pianist Brandon McCune, bassist Alex Blake, multi-percussionist George Gray and the leader on trumpet. Mr. Rutledge always comes ready to bring the fire and with this band, there is no doubt he will.
