Sistas’ Place, 456 Nostrand Avenue, at the corner of Jefferson Avenue, where Jazz: A Music of the Spirit Lives and Culture is our Weapon, continues its 21st season with the music of Resistance, Resilience and Resurgence. On Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 9 and 10:30pm, saxophonist/composer/bandleader TK Blue, will present a CD Release event for his recording, Amour. The group will feature pianist Amina Figarova, bassist Essiet Essiet and drummer George Coleman Jr.

T.K. Blue has been the music director with the great Randy Weston for many years. This Saturday he will be leading his own ensemble in celebration of his soon to be released CD. For the folks who show up, there will be some advanced copies available.
