Sistas’ Place, 456 Nostrand Avenue, at the corner of Jefferson Avenue, where Jazz: A Music of the Spirit Lives and Culture is our Weapon, continues its 22nd season with the music of Resistance, Resilience and Resurgence. On Saturday, December 16th, at 9 and 10:30pm, vocalist Fay Victor debuts with Standard Explorations featuring soprano saxophonist Sam Newsome pianist Aruan Ortiz and bassist Ken Filiano.

Fay Victor is a remarkable vocalist. She has appeared at Sistas’ Place on a few occasions with other musicians. This Saturday, she presents the concept.
