On Saturday, February 2, 2019, at 9 and 10: 30 pm, pianist/composer/bandleader Sharp Radway will present a Tribute to Malcolm X, to open our African-American History Month presentations. To perform his original music, Sharp Radway has organized a stellar ensemble that features trumpeter Duane Eubanks, saxophonist Reggie Woods, bassist Endea Owens and drummer Darrrell Green. It is a wonderful thing to begin the month of February with a musical celebration dedicated to one of our greatest leaders. Don’t miss this!

This exciting quartet has just released its first recording which makes this performance doubly exciting as a recording release and a premiere performance at Sistas’ Place of some brilliant artists!

Sharp Radway

On Saturday, May 19th, at 9 and 10:30 pm, we continue our Sistas’ Place Jazz Festival with pianist/composer/bandleader Sharp Radway performing original music composed for Malcolm X with a great band consisting of trumpeter Duane Eubanks, saxophonist Reggie Woods, bassist Endea Owens, and drummer Darryl Green.

May 19th is the Arrival Day, aka birthday, of one of the most powerful leaders of African American people, and therefore humanity, Malcolm X. Sharp Radway is a brilliant composer of this Music of the Spirit and he has created something special for this great leader. The compositions he will be performing with this group, for the most part, will be heard for the first time.
