On Saturday, April 16th, at 9 and 10:30 pm, we continue our Central Brooklyn Jazz Festival@Sistas’ Place with The Danny Mixon Quintet featuring the leader on piano, vocalist Antoinette Montague, saxophonist James Stewart, bassist Bryce Sebastien, and multi-percussionist Earl Grice. Danny Mixon is a Master of this Music of the Spirit! When he last appeared it was with the quartet it was hot, with the addition of Antoinette Montague expect this Saturday to be sizzling!!! In addition to being one of the great pianists of our time, Danny Mixon also knows how to bring it. His work with the masters has endowed him with that rare ability to make a gig an event!
