On Saturday, March 17th at 9 and10:30 pm, we continue our Women’s History Month Celebrations with bassist Endea Owens leading a band consisting of vocalist Melanie Charles, pianist Brianne Ford and drummer Camille Gainer Jones.

Over the last couple of years, Endea Owens has captured the attention of the Sistas’ Place audience as a great young talent with a bright future and for her debut as a bandleader, she has put together a band of some bad young Sistas who are going to rock the house on Saturday.

This series, titled Phenomenal African Sistas in our History celebrated by Phenomenal Present Day African Sistas, honors the Queen of Africa, Miriam Makeba, this Saturday. Born and raised in Queens NY, Ms. Camille Gaynor Jones has become a regular at Sistas’ Place.
