Sistas’ Place, 456 Nostrand Avenue, at the corner of Jefferson Avenue, where Jazz: A Music of the Spirit Lives and Culture is our Weapon, continues its 23rd season with the music of Resistance, Resilience, and Resurgence.

On Saturday, October 6th at 9 and 10:30 pm, we present the Dwight West Quartet Liberation with their Tribute to Bud Powell and Amiri Baraka. The Quartet features Dwight West on Vocals, Gene Ghee on Saxophone, D.D. Jackson on Piano, Calvin Jones on Bass and Greg Searvance on Drums. Special guest, poet Rashad Wright also joins.
