Sistas’ Place, 456 Nostrand Avenue, at the corner of Jefferson Avenue, where Jazz: A Music of the Spirit Lives and Culture is our Weapon, is in its 24th season with the music of Resistance, Resilience and Resurgence.

On Saturday, February 8th, at 9 and 10:30 pm, we continue our African American History Month Celebrations with the African Rhythms Band in Tribute to Randy Weston led by saxophonist T.K. Blue, with bassist Alex Blake, African percussionist Neil Clarke and pianist Sharp Radway.

It’s been well over a year since the Great Randy Weston left the planet. He left a wealth of music and an incredible group of musicians who he brought together and who stayed together for several decades. This Saturday, they will come together, once again, in his honor.
