On Saturday, May 28th, African Liberation Weekend, at 9 and 10:30 pm, we continue our Central Brooklyn Jazz Festival@Sistas’ Place with the Jerome Jennings Quartet featuring trumpeter Wallace Roney Jr, saxophonist Lance Bryant, bassist Liany Mateo and the leader on multi-percussion. Drummer, composer, educator, and bandleader Jerome Jennings is rooted in the culture of African people and as such he is the perfect person to be on our stage for this significant weekend. The group he has assembled for this occasion includes some fantastic talent!
